I decided that enough was enough and I took today as a vacation day. It seems like I have had the throttle to the wall the past several weeks, as there have been lots of things going on at work. The newest change, just yesterday, is that I now have a new boss, one that works in Ocala rather than Pennsylvania. I like the guy, so hopefully this will work out. He is VP of Operations, which is a change from my last boss being VP of Sales and Marketing. But enough about work, for crying out loud, because I'M ON VACATION!!!
The Daytona 500 party worked out well. I had lots of my friends over: Dave, Gail, Pearl, Chuck, Emily, my brother Orin, Aimee, Ray, my Nebraska Cornhusker friends Jan and Bob, plus Miles and Nicole were hanging out with us too. Between all of us we ate 5 slabs of ribs that I smoked all morning... they were awesome!!
The racing was good, especially the last 30 or so laps. The best part is that Kurt Busch didn't win. Hooray!!
I'm really looking forward to this years NASCAR season...

"Ribs...I had ribs for lunch. That's why I'm doing this with my teeth." - name that movie quote! Seriously sounds like you had an awesome party and a much deserved vacation day. I had a half vacation day, but only because that white stuff called snow was falling outside! Can't wait to see you in March!
